Canyon Lakes West, which includes Miramesa at Canyon Lakes West, is the second most active community in the Houston area according to data compiled by housing consulting company Metrostudy.

Metrostudy recently released its annual ranking of Houston’s top 25 developments based on the number of homes builders started in 2015. Canyon Lakes West ranked No. 2 with 473 housing starts, many of which occurred within Miramesa.

Canyon Lakes West, a Land Tejas community, also has been ranked among the nation’s 20 top-selling developments for three years in a row by Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO) and John Burns Real Estate Consulting. Nearly half of Canyon Lakes West’s sales in 2015 were within Miramesa, which celebrated its grand opening last October.

Canyon Lakes West offers a great location, outstanding schools, and resort-style recreation. Miramesa, the final section of the community, is located a few miles south of U.S. 290 on Fry Road, making it convenient to major employers, shopping and dining opportunities. The community is zoned to schools in the acclaimed Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. An on-site elementary school is planned.

The enclave recently opened a new five-acre recreation complex that includes a clubhouse, resort-style pool and splash pad, a tennis court, a sand volleyball court, a playground and a dog park. It joins the Canyon Lakes West amenity center, which includes SplashPad Texas®, a fitness center, Junior Olympic-size pool, toddler splash pool and children’s playground.

Home prices in Canyon Lakes West start in the $180,000s, and pricing in Miramesa begins in the $220,000s. For more information about new homes in Miramesa, visit www.miramesahouston.com/homes.
