Being a good neighbor means more than creating world-class master-planned communities. We believe we have a responsibility to help others. That’s why we are proud to partner with the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) in raising funds for local charities.
The Greater Houston Builders Association is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Benefits Homes Project. During that time, members of the GHBA have been donating construction, materials, labor and time to building two to three Benefit homes a year, that when sold at market value, support HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.
The Benefits Home Project has raised nearly $12 million to date. Land Tejas has been participating for more than two decades, donating a record-breaking 17 homesites — more than any other developer — at an estimated total value of more than $1 million.
This year, we partnered with HistoryMaker Homes to build a Benefits home in our Sierra Vista community. The recently completed home is the builder’s Alder plan. The two-story design features an island kitchen, spacious family room, study and game room. It is now open for touring and proceeds from the sale will benefit HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.
Previously, Land Tejas has partnered with Westin Homes in Texas City’s Lago Mar and Castletree Homes in Cypress’ Miramesa communities.
It is our privilege and honor to help the greater Houston community. We look forward to a continued partnership with the GHBA and future Benefits homes built in our beautiful communities.
