Two recently opened Land Tejas master-planned communities — Marvida in Cypress and Sunterra in Katy — are posting strong sales for 2022.
Since January, builders have sold 49 homes in Marvida. In Sunterra, builders have reported 157 home sales.
“We aren’t surprised at the success we are already seeing in these communities,” said James Henrie, Chief Operating Officer for Land Tejas. “Cypress and Katy are popular with homebuyers due to their proximity to Houston employment centers, well-regarded schools and small-town vibes. Our plans for both communities include a range of world-class amenities including a spectacular recreation complex with a lazy river in Marvida and crystal clear lagoon in Sunterra.”
Sixteen builders offer homes in 856-acre Marvida, including Ashton Woods, Castlerock Communities, Centex, Chesmar Homes, Devon Street Homes, D.R. Horton, Gehan Homes, Hamilton Thomas Homes, KB Home, K. Hovnanian Homes, Lennar, Long Lake Ltd., M/I Homes, Perry Homes, Tricoast Homes and Westin Homes. Approximately 2,500 homes are planned for the community.
The amenity center will boast a clubhouse, lazy river, lap pool, sports courts, dog park, playground, exercise station, covered pavilion and event lawns. The complex is slated to break ground this spring.
Residents already have access to the recreation complexes located in sister communities Miramasa, Canyon Lakes West and Stone Gate. Children will attend schools in the acclaimed Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District.
Fifteen well-known builders have begun offering homes for sale in 1,039-acre Sunterra including Adams Homes, Ashton Woods Homes, CastleRock Communities, Centex, Chesmar Homes, Colina Homes, Davidson Homes, D.R. Horton, Empire Communities, Gehan Homes, Hamilton Thomas Homes, Highland Homes, HistoryMaker Homes, Long Lake, Perry Homes, Pulte Homes, Shea Homes and Westin Homes.
The first phase of the community will feature homes bordering community lakes. Sunterra is planned for approximately 2,200 homes when it is complete with several gated sections.
Marvida is located north of FM 529, west of Fry Road and east of The Grand Parkway providing easy access to easy access to major employment centers including Katy, the Energy Corridor, the Galleria and Downton Houston. Homes are priced from the $200,000s to the $500,000s.
Sunterra is located along Clay and Pitts roads. When finished, the 3.5-acre lagoon will be the fourth in the Greater Houston area. Residents will be able to kayak, sail and stand-up paddleboard at the lagoon. Children will attend respected Katy ISD schools.
